I‘m interested in memory as ephemeral, impalpable, slippery, and ever changing in shape and meaning. I am attempting to create an emotional moment for the viewer and addressing the politics of empathy on subjects impacted by trauma at different moments in time. There are varying levels of precariousness and uncanniness that exists in the fragments. Through the action of stitching together these fragments, voices, and abstraction I can create a multi-layered fabric that attempts to create a sense of affect for the viewer.
